School Uniform

New Uniform Alert

Please ensure all uniform is clearly labelled. We recommend that this is done using a sturdy label as pen does wash out!

St Mary’s school uniform, worn by every child, is an important and distinctive feature of our school.

At St Mary’s we have high expectations of every child in every aspect of school life and this includes school uniform and smart appearance. Our emphasis on achieving high standards of dress and appearance is important as we believe that it encourages children to take pride in themselves and their school.

We ask parents to ensure that their child/ren are dressed smartly for school in the correct uniform for the particular time of year.

We know that the cost of uniform can be expensive so we keep the items that are branded or can only be purchased from one retailer to a minimum. Second hand uniform items are also available.

We ask parents to label every part of their child’s uniform so that it can be returned to them if lost. Please use sturdy labels rather than sharpie pens and biros which fade or blur after washing. Please also avoid noting first names only as most items are misplaced in the playground rather than the classroom. If you have lost an item please check the lost property boxes in the large playground after school or check on your class WhatsApp group.

If you quote 21048 (in the School Fundraising Box) when buying labels from www.stikins.co.uk/name-labels/ the PSA will receive a 30% commission at no cost to you which goes towards funding extra curricular activities for the the children.

Please look carefully at the uniform information on this page so you know what your child is permitted to wear and bring to school. Some items of our uniform can only be purchased from our uniform provider which is ‘Wearabouts’, Norwood. Some items can be purchased from our school office. Some items can be purchased from other retailers, but please ensure that any items purchased adhere to our uniform policy.
